Development Lead (4 - 7 Years Experience)
Your key result areas as percentage of your overall work items will be:
Owning delivery of fast paced (e.g. monthly releases) project for product groups (~60%)
Helping define the requirements and feature sets including by
Regular collaboration with onsite teams through daily phone conference calls
Iterative prototyping
Project planning and tracking
Application development and technical code reviews
Cross team coordination for project delivery
Leading a development team of 3- 8 software engineers (~30%)
Ensuring project team is trained to deliver on project requirements
Resolving technical queries raised by the project team
Ensuring 80%- 90% utilization of the resources in the project
People management including team motivation, providing feedback, training, and mentoring the team
Individual and team technical development (~10%)
Lead by example by clearing latest Microsoft certifications (majority of our developers hold three to four Microsoft Certifications)
Become subject matter expert by exploring relevant technical developments and share knowledge with team by taking a technical session (2 hours) every month
This is a unique opportunity involving technical and leadership responsibility with a growing organization as part of core technical team reporting to the top management.
Candidate Profile
Bachelors and/or Master's in Computer Science from a leading university with first class throughout
2 years as a project lead with hands- on experience of leading 3- 8 software engineers on development projects
Strong technical background in Microsoft platform with the ability to develop specifications and work with project team (hands- on experience in C#, Ajax, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, XML Web Services, Knowledge of Object Oriented Design, and database concepts and technologies)
Prior work experience working with Microsoft Corporation as a vendor is a plus
Prefer IT services background with IT majors
Local candidates preferred. No relocation is available
